School staff management: schedules, substitutes and training

Remanso helps schools, school service centres, school boards and school daycare services know, every morning, who is supervising the students, who can cover an absence, and which training is about to expire.

It coordinates staff: supervisors, daycare educators, support staff, substitutes. It takes care of the staff, not of teaching.

Supervision and daycare schedules

Each place’s shifts and their replacements. Someone already scheduled elsewhere, or without the required training, cannot, by default, be assigned.

Mandatory training

Who has completed the mandatory training, and who has not, at a glance. A certificate filed in the record calculates its own expiry, and the reminder goes out on its own. Requalification sessions can be planned before a certificate expires.

Background checks

The date and the result are recorded, never the content of the report. A reminder goes out before the expiry.

Instructions and notices

Instructions and handovers between teams are kept in the notepads. School notices appear on the screens you choose, written once.

The seven o’clock absence

A call to the daycare or to lunch supervision, and a list of substitutes to go through. Remanso suggests, among people who are free and in good standing, the one who can step in before opening, without checking each file by hand.

The start of the school year

Every September brings the same questions: who has their training, who is waiting on a check, who is not on the schedule yet. Documents are kept by person, with their expiry date.

The certificate that expires mid-year

First aid, workplace first aid, other training: an expiry in February goes unnoticed in a spreadsheet. The reminder goes out ahead, to the person or to management.

What the reference covers.

Remanso knows no qualification in advance: each organization keeps its own list, and we import with you the ones that apply to you. Here is what the Quebec reference holds for schools, with the issuer of each document.

Standard First Aid with CPR/AED, Level C: term to be confirmed with the issuer (read your provider’s card: Canadian Red Cross, St. John Ambulance, Lifesaving Society).

These durations come from Remanso’s reference of Quebec qualifications, compiled on September 15, 2026. It is not exhaustive, and the issuer of each document has the last word. For your school’s or service centre’s internal training, we publish no duration.

Yes: shifts, replacements, required training and the date of background checks are tracked person by person. What your service requires of each position, you declare yourself; Remanso does not impose it.

Can we find a substitute quickly?

Yes. From the schedule, Remanso lines up the people who are free and qualified, and refuses to assign someone who is already scheduled elsewhere.

Where is our staff’s information kept?

In Quebec: the service and its database run on a machine located in Quebec, and each organization is isolated from the others. The public website you are reading collects nothing. The privacy policy covers the rest, including third-party services.

How long is the trial, and is a credit card needed?
