What is the term of the CD5 pesticide certificate (pest management), and what does renewal require?
The CD5 certificate is valid for 5 years (60 months), and since 1 January 2025 renewing it requires accredited training taken in the previous five years, for a minimum of 10 credits.
Last verified: reference compiled on 15 September 2026.
The detail
It is issued by the MELCCFP. Its expiry is calculated (60 months after it is obtained), and the reference classes this term as set by regulation.
A renewal can be refused if credits are missing: the expiry is calculated, but renewal itself is not automatic.
The pesticide sale or use certificate also runs 60 months. It has several categories and sub-categories, which are tracked separately.
